·         Provide exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and co-workers.

Work Schedule/Clinic Hours

·         Clinics are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 8 pm, Saturdays from 8 am to 6 pm, and Sundays from 1 pm to 5 pm.

·         Standard full-time shifts are (3) 12-hour shifts between Monday and Friday one week, (2) 12-hour shifts between Monday and Friday the next week, and both days that weekend. Please note these are the standard schedules and can be changed at any time based on patient needs and volume.

Attributes Desired

·         Outstanding patient service skills with pediatric and adult patients.

·         1-2 years of experience as a provider in a relevant practice, such as Urgent Care or Occupational Medical facility, ER or Trauma Unit, Family Medical Practice

·         Pediatric experience (birth and up)

·         Proficiency with suturing

·         Proficiency with various procedures

Outstanding Full-Time position for a Family Nurse Practitioner (Cardiology) Opportunity at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS!

Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing. Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)

Certifications: Have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association. Also must be certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties).

Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as Family Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Emergency Care Nurse Practitioner with experience in specialty clinics such as Cardiology, Neurology, Internal Medicine within the last 36 months.

• Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, disease process and procedures.

• Knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used inpatient treatment, the desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use as well as the accurate administration of the pharmacologic agent, including dosage calculations as required.

• Knowledge of the administrative requirements for proper documentation of patient’s condition including disease progress, acknowledgment of teaching, and follow up care.

• Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry, and automated medical records.

• Skill in setting up, operating and monitoring specialized medical equipment such as IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, nebulizers, and other unit specific equipment.

Requirements: Must be a U.S citizen and have the ability to pass a background check/security clearance.
